Our feet are perhaps the hardest working part of our body which has to go through a lot of punishments on a daily basis from standing, walking, running, and even from wearing uncomfortable footwear. All these everyday punishments can end up making our feet callused and dry. 1. Remove Dead Skin Everyday

Dead skin and calluses will eventually build up on your foot from ordinary, everyday use. To remove these blisters and clauses, which are generally made up of dead cells, you may use a use a pumice stone of a foot file. To get soft feet, remove these clauses every day from the sides and the bottom after you have your regular shower or bath.

When you go for a pumice stone to buy, make sure that you purchase the one which is intended for use on your skin.

Both the foot files and the pumice stones are actually the sandpaper for your feet. The course or rough surface of the file or the stone gently (and slowly) removes the deceased skin cells from the outer layers of your skin. Use them to remove the clauses from your feet. Concentrate largely on the balls of your feet, edges of your heels, and the surface edges of your large toes.

You will generally find it much easier to remove the dead skin cells after you soak your feet I warm water. This is why it is better when you perform this step after your regular shower or bath.

Before you use the pumice stone, make sure that you dip that in water, or hold it under a hot water tap for a few seconds.

Using it in a circular motion is the best idea when you rub the foot file or the pumice stone on your skin. You will only need to carry out this step for a few minutes or so on a single foot. It may take you several days of performing this step to get soft feet if you have never exfoliated your skin before.

2. Keeping Your Feet Hydrated

Your feet do not have sufficient oil producing glands to keep the skin moisturized and hydrated on their own. Along with that, with age, regeneration of skin cells slows down and can increase the dryness of the skin. In order to keep it hydrated and to get soft feet, apply any moisturizing cream or lotion to your feet regularly.

It is wiser to perform this process after you have had your bath and exfoliated your feet. However, you can also apply moisturizers to your feet every night before you go to bed.

Keep one thing in mind that, lotions and creams can make your feet sleek and slippery. So don’t be heedless when you step onto a hardwood or tiled floor with naked foot after applying moisturizers.

3. Softening Your Toenails

As we get older, our toenails get harder and thicker from the chronic contact with the inside of our footwear. In order to help soften and alleviate your toenails, the best thing that you can do is to apply petroleum jelly to each of your toenails every night before you go to bed.

4. Avoid Soaking You Feet In Hot Water

Hot water, in general, is very much drying. Avoid using them when bathing, showering, or moistening your feet. Instead of using it for soaking your skin, use them to keep the natural oils and moisture in your skin.
